UPDATED: Happy April Fool’s Day! –(Winky Face!)–
From Ashe makes history by becoming the first-ever Original English Light Novel to receive a television anime adaptation!

Kyoto Animation will be handling the production of the anime!
After From Ashe was advertised on Crunchyroll and received such positive comments from readers, Kyoto Animation reached out to me almost immediately. I shared my vision for the series as well as gave them a free copy of the first volume.
I didn’t expect anything to come of it but one week later, I received a phone call from one of their English-speaking assistants who informed me that they would love to adapt my series into a television anime!
Needless to say, I was ecstatic! You have no idea how hard it was to keep this under wraps; however, I did allude to it in several of my past Monthly Progress Reports. You may have remembered something about a special project that I was working on but couldn’t share the details of but now that the announcement is official, I can finally breathe that heavy sigh of relief and let the cat out of the bag!
What’s better is that this series is set to air THIS SUMMER! Kyoto Animation does have July locked in but they are still waiting to hear what the official time slot will be. With so many great shows already coming this summer like The Devil is a Part-Timer Season 2, Overlord Season 4, DanMachi Season 4, Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 2, and many others, they want to make sure a great time slot is picked out so that it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.
Once I have details on the air date, I will let you all know!
As far as cast is concerned, they weren’t able to fulfill many of my requests due to budget and/or scheduling; however, they did fulfill one and I’m happy to announce that Kenjiro Tsuda will be playing Ashe’s boss, and owner of In/Source, Dennis Powell! I may not have gotten all of my wishes (I really asked for Mamoru Miyano to voice Renji) but I’ll take what I’m given!
I’m beyond excited for this new venture in my life and I’m really hoping that you are, too! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts once From Ashe debuts on television and eventually gets pirated by SubsPlease.
Congratulations. This is incredible. You must be so excited.
